Mission

Tuberculosis remains one of the world's major public-health challenges, with the burden extending beyond the disease itself to include delayed diagnosis, gaps in awareness, treatment adherence, and the growing challenge of drug resistance. For many communities, limited access to reliable health information can make it difficult to recognise symptoms, understand when professional medical assessment is needed, or navigate appropriate treatment pathways.

Resist+ was born out of an awareness of these challenges and a deep desire to make information about tuberculosis and antimicrobial resistance more accessible to underserved communities. The initiative seeks to translate complex medical and scientific concepts into practical, understandable resources while creating opportunities for community members to engage directly with qualified healthcare professionals.

Through educational resources, specialist-led learning sessions, and community-focused engagement, Resist+ aims to strengthen health literacy around tuberculosis, encourage informed and timely engagement with professional care, and build greater awareness of the challenges posed by drug-resistant TB.
