About Resist+

Resist+ is a health education initiative founded by Aditi Vallabhaneni with the goal of improving awareness, early identification, and understanding of appropriate care for tuberculosis among underserved communities, with a particular focus on drug-resistant tuberculosis.

The initiative takes a research-informed approach to community health education, recognising that complex scientific and medical information can be difficult to navigate without accessible explanations. Resist+ therefore focuses on translating research into practical resources that introduce respiratory health, tuberculosis, antimicrobial resistance, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in an accessible manner. 

Through its work, Resist+ hopes to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and community understanding, while encouraging and inspiring individuals to seek appropriate professional medical guidance rather than relying on misinformation or self-treatment.
